The introduction of HMS Dreadnought in 1906 made every existing battleship obsolete, with the Royal Navy being left with a large number of these ‘Pre-Dreadnought’ ships. One of the most stunning of these designs was the Majestic class, the largest single class of battleship ever built with sixteen members. The name-ship is seen here at Malta prior to operations in the Dardanelles campaign
