Railway Steam Locomotive Christmas Xmas Card featuring Midland Compound 1000 and an LMS Jubilee Class by Railway Artist Malcolm Root FGRA
Two favourites for Midland enthusiasts are seen together on a special train while in Preservation. The first is the Midland Railway’s Compound 4-4-0, one of the finest locomotives of its era and the first of a class which was to serve both the MR and LMS for a good number of years. Behind no.1000, we see a Jubilee class, which in many respects was the successor to no.1000, having three-cylinders and an extremely good turn of speed for a 4-6-0.
