Austin Mini & The Beatles Hard Day's Night Birthday Card
Two of the most iconic symbols of Britain to come out of the 1960s are seen together in this Birhday card by Malcolm Root.
Both the Beatles and the Mini revolutionised their respective areas of British society and even to this day their presence can be felt. The Mini gave young people the ability to own a car for the first time and The Beatles provided some the music of what is seen as a golden era.
Unfortunately bad management meant that the Mini was not the resounding financial success that it should have been and though it remained in constant production for over thirty years it did not provide the British car industry with the income necessary to avoid bankruptcy.
