Robin Pinnock - Eastbourne St - Liverpool Tram
Liverpool Corporation Passenger Transport Streamliner Tram during the mid 1950s by Artist Robin J. Pinnock.
Liverpool's tramway was one of the earliest to be built outside London and when the 'Streamliners' arrived in the 1930s, the tramway was given a thoroughly modern look.
The "Green Goddesses", as they were known, would be much loved by the people of Liverpool and gave great service until 1957 when the system was shut down in favour of buses.
Several have been preserved, most notably at the Crich Tram Museum.
