Professionally Built model of the Fock-Wulf Fw-190A-8
Designed by Kurt Tank, the Fw-190 ranks as one of the finest aircraft of WWII. Far more rugged than its counterpart, the Bf-109, the Fw-190 could carry a vast array of armament at any one time, accounting for its common nickname of “Butcher Bird”. The A-8 version was the most heavily armed standard variant with four 20mm cannon and two 13mm machine guns. Additionally, they could be armed with extra 20mm or 30mm cannon or air to air rockets.
This superb kit by Tamiya in 1/48 was painted in Tamiya acrylic. A similar model, without modification, would cost £70.00, plus the cost of the kit.
