Blank Birthday Greetings Card featuring British Motorcars of the 1960s and 1970s. MG. Mini, Jaguar E-Type, Aston Martin DB5, Jensen Interceptor

Some of the finest cars ever made in Britain are shown in this greeting card from motoring artist Trevor Mitchell.

The MGB was an improved version of the MGA and was first produced in 1962. With production lasting until 1980, it is still a very popular sports car with classic car collectors and restorers as they can still be found in reasonable condition at decent prices.

Jaguar's E-Type was the quintessential sports car of the 1960s and gave British customers Ferrari looks and performance at a fraction of the cost. Extremely successful on the export market, a good number still exist to this day, though a nice example fetches good money.

The Mini was one of the longest lived of all British cars and was a true icon of sixties motoring, going on to be a world-beater. This success led to BMW buying the company and producing a retro-Mini.

Famous for its association with movie stars and its part in the James Bond films, the Aston Martin DB5 is one of the most sought after of all British sports cars. Despite its fame, production lasted only two years with a little over 1000 produced.

Moving into the late 1960s, the Jensen Interceptor is probably that company's most famous vehicle. An excellent car when running right, the Interceptor was built between 1966-1976. Just over 6000 were built.
