Westland Wessex Original Pencil and Gouache Painting by John Hunter GAvA
Based upon the successful Sikorsky H-58, the Wessex was a winner from its first flight in June 1958. A large, highly adaptable and very flexible craft, the Wessex would be used in reasonable numbers by all of Britain’s armed forces. Whether it be off-shore search and rescue missions, troop transport in Northern Ireland, attacking submarines off the Falkland Islands or transporting VIPs, the Wessex would always do what it was asked and became a much loved aircraft for it.
This is an original pencil and gouache painting and comes framed and ready to hang. The picture measures 22" x 17" (560mm x 431mm).
