Brothers Without Arms - Supermarine Spitfire & Lockheed Lightnin
Lockheed F-5 Lightning & Supermarine Spitfire Mk.XI Aircraft Aviation Art Print by Artist Charles J. Thompson GAvA, ASAA
The work of the Reconnaissance units of both the RAF and USAAF during WWII was indispensable to the allied victory and as such many of the finest fighters of the time were turned into fast, yet un-armed PR machines.
Here we see two of the finest of their breed, the Supermarine Spitfire PR.Mk.XI in the unusual pink camouflage that helped during sunset sorties and the F.5 variant of Lockheed's superb Lightning.
