Fiat CR.32 Spanish Civil War Fighter Aviation Art Limited Edition Print by Aviation Artist Darryl Legg

Following on from the success of the CR.30, Celestion Rosatelli and his design team endeavoured to make an even better biplane fighter. In the Fiat CR.32 this aim was achieved and the aircraft went on to great acclaim for its export sales and aerial displays. 

Over 350 took part in the Spanish Civil war where they became the main fighter of the Nationalist air arm and showed itself able to compete on something approaching equal terms with both the Polikarpov I-15 and I-16. 

The other aircraft in the painting is a Savoia-Marchetti  SM79, which like the CR.32 proved its worth during the conflict, its success here leading to numerous export orders.
