Malcolm Root FGRA Railway Art Print featuring a Ivatt 2MT 2-6-0 Class locomotive.
It is summer in the artist's home town some time in the 1950s and an Ivatt 2MT pulls into Halstead station with a seaside excursion from Cambridge heading for either Clacton or Walton-on-the-Naze.
These trains could be as long as seven or eight coaches, far longer than the platforms at Halstead could accommodate, the extra coaches blocking the level crossing seen in the picture.
