Jochen Rindt at the 1970 British Grand Prix Motorsport Art Print by artist Richard Wheatland
During
the 1970 British Grand Prix at Brands Hatch, Jochen Rindt in the Lotus 72 leads
Jack Brabham in his Brabham BT33. Brabham chased Rindt all race and eventually
past him, only to run dry on fuel on the last lap. Tragically Rindt was killed
practicing for the Italian Grand Prix at Monza later in the season but had
amassed enough points to become the sport's only posthumous world champion.
