For over three decades the Hunting-Percival Jet Provost (later BAC and BAe) provided the basic training requirements for the RAF. In tandem with the Gnat and laterly the Hawk, it helped produce the pilots for the Lightning, Phantom, Buccaneer, Tornado and other jets that would operate during its service life.
Produced in numerous versions, the ultimate Mk.5 is seen here, distinguishable by its re-designed fuselage.
