Messerschmitt Me 262 Aviation Art Limited Edition Print - Remagen Bridge by Aviation Artist Glynn Williams
The capturing of the bridge at Remagen intact by American forces in March 1945 caused a ferocious counter-attack by German high command who employed a number of new weapons against the bridge, including the V2 rocket.
In the following days it is reckoned that over 350
German aircraft attacked the bridge, including the new Me 262 and Arado Ar 234
jet aircraft. Here two Me 262 Sturmvogel attack the bridge while running
the gauntlet of the most concentrated anti-aircraft artillery seen in North
West Europe during WWII
