Class 37 37418 BR Locomotive Art Print by Lee Lacey AGAvA
One of the mainstays of Britain's railways for over 50 years, the Class 37 entered service as the English Electric Type 3 in 1960. The 309 members of the class have been continuously upgraded during their lives and undertaken a varied number of roles. The Class 37/4 variant with Electric Train Heating was specifically for passenger duties and 37418, named An Comunn Gaidhealach at this time, spent much of its life in Scotland, where she is seen in the picture.
After the privatisation of the railways in the 1990s, 37418 joined the EW&S fleet and has now been preserved.
This print is available in two sizes, both limited to 100 each. Every print is signed and numbered by the artist.
