1935, Lady Young flies in her DH. 60 G Gipsy Moth heading North over the Victoria Falls to Livingstone, Northern Rhodesia (now Zambia). The following day, she departed for Lusaka, but en route her aircraft was blown off course and crashed. Lady Young survived with minor injuries and two days later was reunited with her husband, Sir Hubert Young, Governor of Northern Rhodesia.
