A Batch 2 County Class
Destroyer, HMS Antrim (D18) was commissioned in 1970 and served the Royal Navy
for fourteen years until her sale to the Chilean navy.
The ship was also
involved in the first anti-submarine attack conducted by helicopters while
taking part in the recapturing of South Georgia, Operation Paraquat. Her
Westland Wessex, HP 142, known as Humphrey was instrumental in the sinking of
the Argentine submarine Santa Fe on 25th April 1982.
