Chris French FGAvA is one of the premier artists when it comes to depicting fast jets and his love of the English Electric Lightning has resulted in some of our most successful prints.
This scene shows Lightnings of 5 Squadron taking off from their base at RAF Binbrook, the home of the Lightning until the eventual retirement of the type in 1988. 5 Squadron had relinquished their Lightnings in the summer of 1987.
