Early Lambretta Scooter & Classic Austin Healey Car Blank Birthday Card by Transport Artists Malcolm Root

Though Lambretta is a name more associated with the 1960s, the first successful type sold in the U.K was the LD150, which had a production run from 1951 to 1958. In sheer contrast to what was, at the time, one of the cheapest forms of transport, the Austin Healey 100 was one of Britain's premier sports cars of the mid-1950s and spawned a line of successful models through the 1960s.

Malcolm Root's painting shows the vehicles in a typical English village with another great name of motoring, Esso.
