Vought OS2U-3 Kingfisher Aviation Art Print by Darryl Legg
Fleet Floatplane - The Vought Kingfisher
Designed by Rex Beisel, the Kingfisher was a major step forward for the US Navy when it replaced the myriad biplane types then in service with the fleet. Equipped for a number of roles and fitted with either floats or conventional landing gear, the Kingfisher will be best remembered for its use as the catapult aircraft on most of the fleet's warships so equipped during WWII.
This is another occasion where Hansen Fine Art are proud to offer an aircraft rarely seen in Aviation Art, and in Darryl's print a Vought OS2U-3 Kingfisher from the USS Texas is seen scouting the vast Pacific in 1945.
