Last of the Leviathans - The Martin Mars
The huge Martin JRM Mars Flying boats were delivered to the US Navy at the end of WWII and four examples survived into peacetime, finding much useful employment as fire fighting water bombers in Canada with PHILIPPINE MARS, the last aircraft flying, touching down for the last time early in 2025. The aircraft has now been disassembled and transported to its new home at the Pima Air & Space Museum for preservation and display.
