Royal Saudi Air Force BAe Hawk Jet Trainer aviation art painting by Aviation Artist Chris French FGAvA

First flying in 1974, the BAE Hawk has become one of Britain’s most successful aircraft in terms of exports. Since entering RAF service in 1976, Hawks have gone on to serve with eighteen other air arms. This success shows no sign of abating with the pre-ordering of a large number of second-generation Hawk AJT (Advanced Jet Trainer).

The Royal Saudi Air Force have bought two batches of Hawk Mk.65/65A aircraft totalling 50 aircraft and are to replace these with 21 AJT from 2014.
