Sopwith Baby WWI Aviation Art Print by Artist Roger H. Middlebrook GAvA.
During the very earliest
years of Naval aviation a Sopwith Baby is seen passing the pre-dreadnought
battleship HMS Ocean.
Built in 1898, HMS Ocean
was a Canopus class ship, produced as smaller versions of the Majestic class
for the China and S.E Asia stations. The ship would see service at the
Dardanelles, where she was sunk by a mine on 18 March 1915
