Bristol F.2b Aviation Art Limited Edition Print by Aviation Artist Darryl Legg
Know
by the nicknames of 'Brisfit' or 'Biff', the Bristol F.2b was one of the most
successful aircraft of WWI, being as fast and agile as many of the German scouts
it opposed. This ability in combat made it an ideal multi-role aircraft and a
large number of pilots and gunners became aces in the last two years of WWI
while flying the aircraft.
After
WWI, the aircraft proved ideal for colonial policing duties and use by the
University Air Squadrons, not leaving RAF service until 1932.
This
limited edition print of only 50 copies shows an aircraft of 2 Squadron, RAF in
around 1925. It has an image size of 14" x 11"
