Bristol Beaufighter Mk.VI Strike Aircraft Pencil Drawing
With the RAF lacking a long-range fighter, the team at Bristol Aircraft embarked on a private venture utilising many components from the earlier Beaufort to speed beoth design and production times.
Initially entering service as a night fighter, the aircraft was to serve in a myriad of roles including long-range strike, anti-shipping and target towing. In the latter role it was not taken out of service until 1960.
