Coronation A4 Passenger Train Art Deco Railway Poster Artwork Blank Card
This poster was completed for the London & North Eastern Railway (LNER) to announce the arrival of the 'Coronation' train and its streamlined A4 pacific. The 'Coronation' was the first streamlined train destined for Scotland that was hauled by an A4. The artwork was completed by Tom Purvis, who would help form the Society of Industrial Artists and became a member of the Royal Designers for Industry in 1936.
Certain details of the card are embellished in Gold colour and are embossed.
