Vickers Vimy of Alcock & Brown Aircraft Art Print by Aviation Artist Roger H. Middlebrook GAvA
Alcock & Brown preparing their Vickers Vimy for the succesful Atlantic crossing
The first trans-Atlantic crossing by Alcock & Brown in 1919 is well documented but it is a little known fact that the aircraft arrived in Nova Scotia dis-assembled. In Roger H. Middlebrook's Aviation Art Painting, the support team are seen here busy at work in preparation for a flight that would shape the world we have now.
