HMS Glowworm Royal Navy Destroyer Original Pencil Drawing by Lee Lacey AGAvA
HMS Glowworm will forever be known for her heroism and loss during the Norwegian campaign of 1940 when she attacked two German destroyers and the heavy cruiser Admiral Hipper. In ramming the Hipper, she put out of action one of only three heavy cruisers the Germans had at the time. The ship is shown when part of the Mediterranean Fleet in 1938, wearing the distinctive neutrality markings worn during the time of the Spanish Civil War.
