Bristol Bulldog at RAF Museum, Hendon Art Print by Aviation Artist Richard Wheatland
The
last airworthy Bristol Bulldog K2227 was seen on the airshow circuit and in films,
most notably "Reach for the Sky" during the 1950s and 1960s before
crashing in 1964 at the Farnborough airshow.
Considered
a write-off, the aircraft was salvaged by the RAF Museum. It would be thirty
years though before rebuilding would commence, the aircraft being placed on permanent
display at the Hendon in the early 2000s.
