Saga Shipping Cruise Liner Ship Saga Rose Painting Art Print

Originally built in France and entering service with Norwegian-American lines as the MS Sagafjord and operated as such from her introduction in 1967 until being sold in 1996, including, oddly, a stint in Cunard colours as Norwegian-American were absorbed in 1983 .

After being sold in 1996 she passed to Transocean Tours as the MS Gripsholm but this association lasted only a year and she was then sold to Saga cruises to become Saga Rose. She was finally retired in 2009 and after an uncertain time was scrapped in China in 2011.

The ship is seen here at the port of Bora Bora in the Leeward Islands, where she spent much time cruising the Pacific.
