de Havilland Mosquito SEAC Aviation Art Limited Edition Print by Aviation Artist Darryl Legg
This RAF Mosquito FB VI of 45 Sqdn, takes off from a wet runway in a tropical setting. Based at Kumbhirgram in India, this ground attack squadron was used to push back the advancing Japanese forces in Burma in WWII. Sadly this aircraft was lost in action on January 15, 1945.
Artist Darryl Legg has been experimenting with a new, looser style for his most recent works and this certainly helps to capture the action and movement involved in the ground attack role.
