The aerial war in the China-Burma-India (CBI) theatre is best remembered for the long, arduous supply missions flown by both USAAF and RAF pilots, mainly in the venerable C-47/Dakota. To support these workhorses numerous fighter squadrons were assigned for escort duty with this P-40K Warhawk being one of them
