The T.7 was the trainer variant of Hawker’s famous jet fighter of the 1950s. In order for new pilots to familiarise themselves with the type they would build their hours using the two-seater version at an OCU before going to squadron. After the withdrawal of the Hunter as a fighter, the aircraft would carry on as an advanced fighter and weapons system training aircraft until replaced by the Hawk.
This aircraft was lost in a tragic accident at the Shoreham Airshow on 22nd August 2015
