Eurofighter Typhoon - 6 Squadron, RAF Aviation Art Jet Fighter Print by Aviation Artist Chris French GAvA
Replacing the Panavia Tornado F.Mk.3, the Typhoon has already gone through several developments to reach the variant seen here, the FGR.4. Offering RAF pilots the chance to fly a single-seat supersonic jet for the first time since the English Electric Lightning, the aircraft currently serves with 3, 6 11, 17 and 29 Squadrons in the UK and the Falklands protection flight is also equipped with the aircraft. The aircraft in the painting comes from 6 Squadron, the famous 'Flying Tin Openers', named for the Hurricane IId's used during the Desert Campaign of WWII.
